About Dani - Dingo
Hi my name is Dani! My favorite thing in the world is other dogs! I like people too, especially if they give me ear scratches. I'm on the hunt for a special family with another dog, who would like to adopt me!
About Dani:
Dani will be around 18-20kg fully grown and would love a home with a doggy or dingo friend of a similar size or bigger. Dani is fantastic with other dogs and loves to play.
Dani is an energetic pup and would love an active family who like bushwalks and the outdoors. She can be timid in very noisy or crowded environments like markets or cafes, but loves to go to the park or the beach. She would suit a family with kids over 10 only.
Dani is smart and food motivated, she knows how to sit and wait for her dinner and walks well on leash and is good in the car.
Dani loves to swim and paddle and splash in water at the river or the beach. She also enjoys kongs and other puzzle toys! Like most dingoes Dani is a very quiet pup and does not bark.
Being a dingo Dani is not suitable to be let off leash in unfenced areas as she will not come back. Dingoes should be kept on leash outside your yard.
Like all dingoes, Dani has a high prey drive and is not suitable to with cats, pocket pets or birds. Dani can not live in an apartment.
Fencing requirements:
Dani requires secure 2m fencing or a fully enclosed dog run/enclosure.

Animal rescue is considered essential. SFDR can still come to you for meet and greets, yard checks and animal adoptions. We have volunteers in Canberra and New South Wales and can come to you even if you we are not in your local government area. Distance is not an issue when we are looking for the perfect homes for our dingoes. Please note we have COVID safety measures in place.
Adoption details
Please note at this time pending legal advice we are unable to offer fox kit adoption to private owners.
Dingo Adoption:
1. Send an email inquiry with your name and contact details outlining your current living situation, pets and family members and anything else you think might be relevant, particularly what your house and yard are like. Remember our dingoes typically require an enclosure or modified fencing.
2. We will email you back adoption information and an application form to fill out and return to us.
3. If your application is approved- Come along to meet us and our dingoes at our Camden shelter or their foster carers home and let us find the right furry family member for you.
4. Before you can pick up your new dingo you will also need to under a house/yard check and pay your adoption fee. No animals are rehomed unless their adoption fee is paid in full and a yard check has been completed.
