Introducing Floyd - our sweet and shy 2.5 year old Bull Arab X boy. Floyd is looking for a special owner who understands timid dogs and knows the rewards of time and patience.

Floyd is a gentle, well-mannered boy who likes routine and a quiet “safe” place (like a bedroom) to go when he feels a bit scared. He will need a home that has lots of room for him to do zoomies, so a big back yard or secure rural property would be great.

Floyd is not suited to busy suburbs, there is too much going on for him to process. So no café outings, visiting friends or camping trips for this young lad - he is a homebody that would rather follow you around the garden all day or just sit at your feet as you work from home. He is crate and toilet trained, he even has his own toy box where he plays with his own collection of toys.

Floyd gets on well with other dogs & will need at least one playmate to help give him doggy confidence. Older or multiple dogs would be fine as he is content to be at the bottom of the pecking order. Once he knows his people he comes up for hugs and kisses and loves to lift his paw to shake hands. He’s got lovely basic manners - he will sit, drop and wait nicely for his meals. He is not a jumper or barker and loves to go for a quiet early morning walk when it’s peaceful outside.

Floyd will need a home with kind and caring people that are willing to work to gain his trust. A home with no toddlers or small children - quiet older children or teenagers who are dog-savvy and know to give him some space would be ok. He is on daily medication (his happy pills) which are added to his dinner - this medication will more than likely be ongoing.

We think Floyd may be crossed with a greyhound or similar as he has the longest legs and is super-fast and goofy. He hasn’t been tested with cats or pocket pets since being in our care. This gorgeous boy has such a gentle nature and beautiful brown eyes - to put it simply this boy is stunning.

If you are Floyd’s forever home this loyal and loving goofball will reward you with a wet nose and kisses. He will need a slow adoption which means multiple Meets & Greets to allow him to become familiar with you. Due to this he will need to be adopted around the Port Stephens or Hunter area to make it convenient for both carer and potential adoptees to visit him numerous times. Please note : Additional support from his carer & DRN Trainers is also available to help him settle in to his new home.
