About Cleo
Beautiful Cleo was broken hearted in the pound. Her photo showed a broken girl, sitting in the corner of her pen with no confidence at at all... and it's no wonder. This love appears to have had several litters during her time and even bears the scars around her neck of being tied up, left to fight for any bit of love or attention she could get.
During her time in care so far, Cleo has shown that she is an affectionate, sweet natured and placid girl... but god forgive you stop patting her! She will nudge and paw you for more! She is just full of love and ready to give it to someone who will love her equally as much.
Cleo loves her long walks and doing her zoomies in a nice large yard. She is a very active girl and enjoys playing with her foster brother and sharing the odd deer antler
Cleo is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with all preventatives while in care including heartworm.
Cleo will need a home that will keep both her mind and body busy.
Although Cleo lives happily with her foster brother, she can be reactive towards other dogs on her walks, so she is not suited for dog parks etc and we recommend she is in an only dog home. With training we believe she may overcome this but initially, being the queen of the home is the best option for this beautiful girl.
If you are interested in adopting Cleo, please send through an adoption enquiry and we will email you back as soon as possible with an adoption application form to complete, or contact us at fridayslegacy@gmail.com
*Please note: we will require an adoption application form to be completed before a meet and greet will be scheduled*
Medical notes
Cleo is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with all preventatives while in our care including heartworm.
Adoption details
An application form MUST be completed in full before any meet and greets are to take place
Approved applicants will be contacted and invited for a 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer present. Applicants must bring their current dog along to the meet and greet if meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure everyone gets along before commencing adoption - therefore we do not facilitate interstate adoptions at this time. We would like as many household members as possible to be available for the meet and greet, again, to determine that the animal and humans are the best possible fit.
Please note: The animal MUST NOT be taken on the day of the meet and greet unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 2 hr round trip). If a prior arrangement is made, an Adoption Contract must be signed in full and payment must be cleared in the rescues bank account before collection of the pet will be permitted.
A yard check will then be completed to ensure the home is the best possible fit for the animal before approval will be considered. In cases where potential adopters may live more than 2 hours away, yard photos of all outdoor areas will suffice
A 14 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer. If for any reason the animal needs to be returned to the rescue organisation, the adoption fee minus a $50 non-refundable deposit will be refunded to you via bank transfer if the animal is returned within the 14 day trial period. If the animal is returned after the trial period, no refund will be made.
Adoption is finalized after 14 days and paperwork, including the Microchip Change of Ownership form, is then sent via email.
FLAR animals will be desexed before adoption and this is NON NEGOTIABLE.
