About Champ
Champ is an affectionate dog who just loves hanging around with you, but he needs time to trust you. He is more comfortable with females.
He needs people close to him as he can get very anxious alone. He is not high energy and indeed lies around in the sun most of the day.
Champ came from the pound with heartworm and we have pulled him through the treatment.
When he came from the pound he was totally shut down and refused to walk. He would not eat if humans were around but he eats now with gusto!
Champ has high prey drive and barks at possums.
He is microchipped as 2yo but our vets believe he is more like 7yo. He has a little arthritis in his spine. He has a smooth coat and weighs 20kg
Suit Home Based Worker: Unable to cope alone and has shown signs of separation anxiety. Needs human company.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE:
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience in rehabilitation, with an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
He comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.

DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
