About Kelso
💚💚 KELSO 💚💚
Meet the handsome and quirky, Kelso 🥰 from our Scottish Litter 💕
Kelso is your typical goofy, snuggly big breed pup 😍 He loves snuggles, with humans and other dogs. Anyone willing to let him snuggle in close 💖 He also loves playing the big dogs.
Kelso loves his bones and will have you giggling with his cute little NOM NOM noises when he eats :P its so cute! This little man will fit into any home that will shower him with love 🥰 Though will need a secure yard as he isnt nicknamed monkey from his foster mum just beacuse of his cheekiness 😂
He does need to be homed with another dog.
This gorgeous boy just couldnt catch a break from his past :( and developed whats called "knuckling over". Thankfully we recognised and caught it in time that he has already improved so much! Knuckling over is not a condition that will continue to affect him. As he gets older he is at a higher risk of developing early onset arthritis. But he can continue to be supported and hopefully prevent it by diet, joint supplements and appropriate exercise for age. You can read more here about Knuckling over: https://www.balanced-canine.com/post/carpal-laxity-syndrome-aka-knuckling-over-in-puppies
Kelso will make the best companion for any family 🥰 If you would like to meet Kelso, please message for an application 💝
Medical notes
Will be desexed at 6 months of age by our affiliated vet.
Has "knuckling over", at risk of early onset arthritis (read more in his profile).
Must be only fed a balanced raw diet, kibble upsets his belly and the rae diet is the best food to continue supporting his joints during growth.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST NOT be taken on the day unless PRIOR APPROVAL seeked, we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 14 day settling in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
6. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until date of adoption. Inclusive of vaccinations, monthly worming and flea treatment. New owners are responsible for keeping preventatives current.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your email within 72 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: WE CAN NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW
