About Rusty *On Trial*
Rusty is a new addition to the Lost Souls fluffle! Rusty was found on the streets of Maddington enjoying life as a street bun before he was caught and taken to the local vet to be microchip checked - sadly, like most cases we see through the rescue he didn't have a microchip. Rusty was known as Rosie for several weeks before she was CONFIRMED a he whilst having his vet work complete :P Rusty has been such a beautiful addition to the LSRR fluffle, from the very start we found him to be very gentle, calm, loving and just wanting to be loved all the time (head scratches are a must). He really loves people and will happily sit on the couch watching Netflix or if he feels like it, he loves to head out and explore! Cardboard boxes are a must and he particularly loves his new Kmart shark tunnel - You can hear him zooming up and down!
Rusty has been a well loved pet and arrived into our care in good condition. Rusty is a medium sized bun with a short ginger coat which is easily maintained with a weekly brush. He has been well handled and doesn't mind being picked up. He even takes his medication straight from the syringe too! What a character!
Rusty isn't fussy with his food and has been on a good diet with Science Selective pellets, plenty of fresh oaten hay (he eats a tonne of hay!), wide variety of vegetables and herbs with some fruit (limited amounts). He LOVES dried kiwi fruit and fresh strawberries too - He has an epic butt twitch when he gets his treat early!
We estimate Rusty to be approx 18-24 months old. Yes, he has been desexed/vaccinated/microchipped by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Rusty would suit being a single spoilt bunny or could eventually be bonded to a desexed female. We are looking for a lovely forever home for Rusty where he can continue to be spoilt and loved like he very much deserves! Ideally, we would be looking for a person or family where Rusty would be indoors (pen setup) and be apart of everyday living.
Rusty's adoption fee is $185 which includes his desexing, vaccination and microchip at The Unusual Pet Vets.
Medical notes
Rusty has been thoroughly vet checked by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view our beautiful rabbits. We love them all and know you will too!
If you would like to know more regarding our rescue or considering adopting one of our precious bunnies, please contact us via phone or email. After our chat, if it sounds like you may be a suitable match we will send you through a application form (step 1).
Once we have received your forms and feel you would be a good fit for our rescue bun/buns, we will arrange a time for you to meet (step 2). On occasions (at our discretion) we may organise a house check to ensure that your setup is safe and secure. If all parties are happy to proceed, an adoption fee is paid and your welcome to take your new family member home on a 2 week trial (step 3). If after or anytime during the trial you are certain your new family member is going nowhere, the decision is made final and we make the adoption official! (step 4). On the other hand, if you have a change of mind or circumstance we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make immediate arrangements for their return to the rescue.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
