About Apollo- Dingo
Apollo is a cheeky sweetheart, he takes a little bit of time to get to know new people but there is not a bad bone in his body. Apollo is super affectionate and literally jumps for joy when he sees his favourite humans here at the shelter.
Apollo would love a big backyard and would be happy being an outside only dog or with access to indoors under supervision.
Apollo loves female dogs and dingoes (desexed of course) and would love a home with a medium or large canine companion- he's a bit too boisterous for a home with small dogs and is not suitable for dog parks or off-leash dog areas.
Apollo is good on the lead but prefers walks in quiet, low key settings where he can explore away from cars and crowds. With patience and training however, Apollo would be fine living in a more urban setting, but takes time to adapt to new people and new places.
Apollo is not suitable to live with young children (under 12) as he is easily startled and wary of young kids. No cats, birds or pocket pets please.
Apollo has previously been allowed in the house at his former home and with access to outside or regular pee-breaks he won't toilet inside and is fairly good about not chewing things but sometimes need reminding of what things are toys (and what things are shoes!)
Apollo will require 2m sheer fencing, OR an enclosure OR 1.8m fencing with an inward facing overhang to prevent climbing. Ask us for more information or assistance with fencing- we are here to help.
Adoption details
Please note at this time pending legal advice we are unable to offer fox kit adoption to private owners.
Dingo Adoption:
1. Send an email inquiry with your name and contact details outlining your current living situation, pets and family members and anything else you think might be relevant, particularly what your house and yard are like. Remember our dingoes typically require an enclosure or modified fencing.
2. We will email you back adoption information and an application form to fill out and return to us.
3. If your application is approved- Come along to meet us and our dingoes at our Camden shelter or their foster carers home and let us find the right furry family member for you.
4. Before you can pick up your new dingo you will also need to under a house/yard check and pay your adoption fee. No animals are rehomed unless their adoption fee is paid in full and a yard check has been completed.
