About Narla
Check out her videos to see how truly affectionate she is. Narla loves people. Do yourself a favour and watch the videos provided by her current foster mummy and previous foster daddy to see for yourself what we tell you below...
Background:
Narla and her brother Simba are both available for adoption. However, we recently realised, thanks to their current foster mummy April that they definitely aren't a bonded pair. They actually are polar opposites in personality and aren't inseparable.
Narla (along with Simba) was rescued, loved, and cared for by Norma in her backyard until they were 2 years but she was unable to give them the security of being indoor cats. Their stray mother cat was run over and Norma did not want them to be in any danger. All the vet work is done and it is Norma's wish to find these treasures a forever home. "She’s such a beautiful cat. A social butterfly😻 Anyone who adopts Narla would be so lucky to have her in their lives. Good luck beautiful ❤️"
Narla is currently in foster care at her home in Waitara (near Hornsby, Sydney). They have only been with their current foster mummy for 2 months as their previous foster dad had to move abroad. He had a soft spot for her and said "if circumstances had been different he would have loved to have given them a forever home". April has observed Narla on her pet webcam and believes that Narla needs humans around her a lot and also a very enriched environment with big windows to watch the outside world. She said "Narla really does crave human attention and if we can find someone that can spend more time with her the happier she'll be. I can even see her being a best friend for a younger child. She hears my keys before I even open the door and she is there to greet me when I walk in. We then have to have a good 10 - 20 minute cuddle before I can do anything"
April said, "Narla is very smoochy and definitely loves company and would be well suited to someone that is home a lot".
Narla loves sharing April's bed or the couch (wherever April happens to be at the time) Narla loves being on her cat tree looking out over the garden. She loves to play and needs a stimulating, enriched environment.
If you are looking for an affectionate cat that's Narla.
If you are looking for a cat to be your companion then Narla could be the one you have been searching for.
If you are willing to share your bed with Narla she will be thrilled. April said "She gets so happy and chirpy every time she sees me getting ready for bed". She loves chasing April's feed under the blanket.
If you want a cat that will follow you around to supervise you doing chores, Narla's an expert supervisor.
Narla also loves playtime. Her beloved cheese toy will be adopted with her.
- a single person or a couple who is home a lot of the time because Narla just wants to hang out with her humans. In a situation of Narla just living with one adult we believe she wouldn't be as keen to share that one human with Simba or another cat. We think she needs a bigger home than just a single room apartment. She is incredibly obedient and even follows her foster mum into her courtyard to supervise chores and relaxation.
- an active busy household ideally with some of the resident humans home much of the time. Of course, if adopted to an active household with several humans who appreciate their difference they could still be rehomed together but we believe they shouldn't be forced into a situation of having to share and compete for the attention of just one human. Likewise, it is possible Narla would cope with sharing a family with another cat or possibly a dog (untested to date) already residing but recommend that be tested in a trial adoption situation.
Medical notes
Narla is a rescue cat with no known medical issues. She is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated F3 (first vaccination), flea and worm treated and life-time registered.
