About Dakota
Dakota is our resident QUEEN and yes she is a big mumma too! Dakota was a loved member of a local family, however their circumstances changed and they were unable to look after Dakota - She was surrendered to our care. That's where Dakota's sadness ends and her new life began! This stunning girl has made a total transformation and is a beautiful, loving, gentle sole with a cheeky and sometimes sassy personality. Dakota has been well handled but due to her size, prefers all 4 paws on the floor especially if there is head pats and ear scratches at the ready!
As mentioned above, Dakota is a big bun and weighs in at 3.65kg a real gentle giant! Dakota isn't fussy with her food and has been on a good diet with Science Selective pellets, plenty of fresh oaten hay, wide variety of vegetables and herbs with some fruit (limited amounts). Dakota especially loves homemade dried apple rings and kiwi fruit and will do just about anything for it too!
Dakota is 18 months old (approx). Dakota has a short coat which is easy to maintain with weekly brushing. Yes, she has been desexed/vaccinated/microchipped by The Unsual Pet Vets.
As Dakota has been a single bun her entire life, there might be potential for her to be bonded to a desexed male or very easily be a single spoilt bunny. We are looking for a lovely forever home for Dakota and know the right person or family is out there for her. Ideally, we would be looking for a person or family where Dakota would be indoors (pen setup) with supervised outdoor time and be apart of everyday living.
Dakota's adoption fee is $185 which includes her desexing, vaccination and microchip at The Unusual Pet Vets.
Medical notes
Dakota has been thoroughly vet checked by The Unusual Pet Vets
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view our beautiful rabbits. We love them all and know you will too!
If you would like to know more regarding our rescue or considering adopting one of our precious bunnies, please contact us via phone or email. After our chat, if it sounds like you may be a suitable match we will send you through a application form (step 1).
Once we have received your forms and feel you would be a good fit for our rescue bun/buns, we will arrange a time for you to meet (step 2). On occasions (at our discretion) we may organise a house check to ensure that your setup is safe and secure. If all parties are happy to proceed, an adoption fee is paid and your welcome to take your new family member home on a 2 week trial (step 3). If after or anytime during the trial you are certain your new family member is going nowhere, the decision is made final and we make the adoption official! (step 4). On the other hand, if you have a change of mind or circumstance we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make immediate arrangements for their return to the rescue.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
