About Annie
Little Annie is an older girl of 12 years old. She is looking for a quiet home to spend her golden years.
Annie likes routine. She has lived as a 'kennel dog' all of her life, so will need a patient home that will give her time to adjust to household things like vacuum cleaners and washing machines. Annie is not technically house trained, but she does avoid toileting in her kennel here at Leema Rescue, suggesting she won't be hard to train.
Despite Annie being dottery the only time we've seen her spark up is at our cat! We wouldn't trust her not to chase a cat in her new home, so a cat free home is probably best.
As Annie can be timid of people, a quiet home where she is not expected to interact with young children is best. She would be ideally suited to an older person who wants a gentle companion at home.
Annie is good with other dogs, but a quiet dog of a similar age would probably be best. Annie is available for adoption with her friend Finn (a 9 year old border terrier), but we understand that it's not likely we will be able to secure adoption for two senior dogs together.
Annie is fully vetworked (including receiving a dental clean) and is available now to a suitable home. She is a purebred border terrier with a copy of her pedigree papers available.
Note that as Annie is timid, we will not adopt her interstate 'sight unseen'. (Adopters who travel to SA to meet her will be considered.)
Medical notes
Annie has been fully vetworked, including receiving a recent dental. Her blood test results from early November showed no abnormalities.
Annie has a lump on her back that our vet did not see necessary to remove. It does not bother Annie.
