About Brodie (on trial)
Mr Personality Plus
Not your typical small, white & fluffy in temperament but is as soft and cuddly as a teddy
Brodie is a rambunctious little fellow, he absolutely adores his people and enjoys making them laugh & smile, he thrives on human attention.
Brodie is confident, cheeky and such a cool dude, he makes friend everywhere he goes.
Brodie loves to potter and explore the garden and sleep in his crate over night. He lives for his daily walk & a ride in the car. He absolutely loves toys & will chase a ball although isn't great at bringing it back. Brodie will need a variety of toys in his new home to keep him busy when his parents are at work.
Brodie is absolutely fantastic with other dogs and really enjoys playing and socializing, He would better suit a home with an existing dog be it chihuahua or great dane. Brodie also has no problems living with the dog savvy cats in his foster home although would not suit a home with overly timid cats that would run as he does make chase for fun but is not at all aggressive with them.
Brodie is still very much a puppy at heart and will jump for attention so would best suit a home with dog respectful children 10 years and older. He would also not suit a senior looking for a lap dog.
Please don't let his breed fool you he is a busy little bee and requires an active home to explore the world with. He is very much a big dog in a little body, without the small man syndrome.
Sadly Brodie hasn't lived the life of a typical dog of his breed and has been an outside dog all his life. Being recently castrated he is still learning not to pee on things and that toileting in the house is not cool. He does however sleep in his crate or the laundry overnight with no accidents. He will require a home that at a minimum will continue this or even better be patient with his toileting and help him along so he can be a treasured indoor family member.
Brodie has also had very little formal training, he walks well on a lead and harness but does not know how to sit or drop. He is very food motivated so will be easy to train. Brodie would best suit a home with someone who does not work full time.
If you are patient, kind, fun, active person who enjoys road trips, exploring and can provide Brodie with the perfect forever home, please email a brief description of the home you can provide and we will send you an adoption application form.
Brodie is located in whittlesea for meet and greets.
Medical notes
Brodie has been
desexed
vaccinated
microchipped
intestinal wormed
heartworm tested negative
heartworm prevented
flea & tick prevented
he has had his teeth cleaned & polished sporting a brand new smile
Brodie has luxating patellas although shows no clinical evidence of this (lameness/limping) and our vet believes these will not require any treatment in the future.
Brodie has been treated for an ear infection & some itchy feet, this will need to be monitored in his new home as well as managed with weekly ear cleaning & foot baths.
Brodie is otherwise fit as a fiddle and is mistaken for a puppy often.
