About Charlie
CHARLIE
Samoyed
Male (D)
4 Years Old
Located : Padstow NSW
Having gone through the wars on an emotional and physical level, testament to my character I choose to live life in the now. More than willing to meet you halfway, you will understand that at at times there may be a touch of self-preservation around you men-folk. When it comes to women it's like we shared a womb.
My pleasures in life may not be extensive, but they are what constitutes my tunnel vision. I'll call it independence, you may choose to stereotypically suggest hard-headedness. Same, same. Let's move on, shall we.
With fair warning I advise I have no sense of personal space. I choose when it's snuggle me time, rub my belly time or plain old let me help you save on your heating bills these coming winter months time. I give good loving, you won't be at a disadvantage.
We then come to food. My excuse is an adverse reaction after being subjected to the realities of a word that should never reach a bear's ears - diet. My woe was, and is, very real. So it comes to pass that if I can reach it I will eat it. In a world full of waste my platform is that no nom should ever go uneaten. Just don't give me beef, for you won't like it's after-effects on my otherwise cast-iron stomach.
If you are home more often than not, or have the ability to take me with, I would quite relish the opportunity of being your pampered one and only for there is something to be said about being the sole focus of one's existence.
In a past life and within a home environment I unfortunately have previuosly been attacked by not-so-keen-on-sharing-space canines. My exceptionally high tolerance threshold means my reactivity levels are quite low, but I'm sure you understand that once reached there is no other recourse but that of defence. A lover not a fighter, any existing canines in the family should be of the friendly, can't we all get along variety. Or perhaps only present their attention jealousy in a comical rather than confrontational manner.
When it comes to out and about, you'll be proud to show me off. My looks are a showstopper, my need for affection a crowd pleaser, and meeting new canine friends also out on adventure a highlight.
**MEDICAL NOTES**
At times Charlie does suffer from hind leg tremors. Veterinary examination, including X-Rays are extremely positive. There is no hip dysplasia, no osteoarthritis or spinal spondylosis. His records will be made available to his new family upon request. Further research indicates that Charlie is likely a candidate for :
https://m.petmd.com/d…/conditions/neurological/c_dg_tremors…
Especially when he was at a heavier weight, Charlie would at times pull up lame after walks. WIth the above veterinary examination not offering any answers, we turned to The Balanced Canine Sydney for treatment. TBCS concluded that Charlie has a rather tight pelvis and side, indicating that at some stage he suffered trauma that was left unattended. TBCS has commenced the necessary adjustment which has already made a difference. ABR will continue his treatments whilst in care, with the ultimate projection that once his pelvis is fully released he may need periodical maintenance moving forward as a preventative.
Now on to the important bit. I am Charlie. Charlie-Bear. But more importantly I would like to know - am I yours?
