About Tara
Tara is still nervous about new surroundings and new people, but when she gets comfortable, she becomes a smoochy lap cat. If she gets too excited, she might drool a bit. She is a very sweet and affectionate lady.
On Tara's first night in her new foster home, she hid under the bed and only came out when no one was around to eat her food or use her litter. On her second night, she came out of her shell, slept on the bed with me and demanded cuddles!
Tara loves to explore for new places to hide, like closets and boxes. Tara is affectionate and loves kisses, cuddles, sleeping on the bed with a human, and sitting on laps.
Tara is nervous around new people, or more than 1 person at a time, and also loud surprising noises.
In the morning, Tara wakes up on my bed and tries to get some cuddles in before I have to get ready for work. I head off to work and she either sleeps under the bed during this time or explores the house a little more. When I come home, she emerges from under the bed once the apartment has quietened down. She eats her biscuits and meows for cuddles. She explores the apartment and has now become settle enough to start being playful. Once it's bed time, she sees I'm getting into bed and jumps onboard for a cuddle.
Tara's favourite place to sit is right on my chest.
Her favourite past time is cuddling up to humans and her favourite toy is her cardboard scratching post.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
