Emma has started her trial period with a new family we wish her all the best
Emma is a loving girl that likes all the attention of her people. She has had some basic training and is easy to teach. She has good recall to a certain distance and she can ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stop’ and ‘stay’. She did start doing some sheep work at her last home and she was enjoying it immensely.
Emma does think that she needs to be the top dog so she needs to be the only dog in the house. She can be reactive to other dogs if there is any sort of disagreement.
Emma’s perfect home would be her having all the attention of her people, so being an only dog suits her. Someone that wants an adventure partner to go hiking, camping and even willing to enrol in some herding classes if possible or a hobby farm where she can work when needed and be a daily companion then cuddle at night.
Emma is no good with cats or other small animals. She is partly house trained but would need someone to keep up the positive reinforcement when toileting outside.
She is fine spending the day at home while you work as long as she has some toys or a bone to keep her amused. She would then be ready for a walk and a game when you arrive home.
