About Saxon the Adorable
Do you love cuddles? So does Saxon. Three of you want to cuddle him all at once? No problem. Saxon has mastered the art of sharing himself across three sets of arms or two laps. He'll try for more but he's only a little kitty.
Got kids? The more the better, in Saxon's books. He's a huge fan of children and he'll simply remove himself from over-enthusiastic behaviour without retaliation, coming back as soon as he thinks it is safe. That's usually about three minutes.
Saxon is extremely visual and tactile in his love, as so many hearing-impaired people are. Expect to hear a soulful cry if you can't be found but don't worry, Miranda will usually come to his rescue, even if you do too. She's that kinda gal.
Saxon was blessed with superstar looks and the sweetest nature you could imagine but his start to life was less than stellar. Imagine the poor lad being dumped as a deaf kitten, left to fend for himself in a shopping centre colony, where every mouthful of food was scrounged and gulped down before others could steal it away. These were the first two years of his life, and he carries the scars on the inside. Saxon is FIV positive, he is convinced that he lives at the bottom of the food chain, and he does not cope well on his own. For this reason, we found him a soulmate; Miranda.
Miranda was chosen for her diminutive stature, her cheeky loving nature and her inability to accept no for an answer. It took a month for Saxon to believe Miranda's middle name was not Cujo and another month for him to play with her. Now they sleep together, play together, invade laps together, and are almost inseparable. Saxon and Miranda will not be separated. They are a truly bonded pair and will be rehomed together.
We say they are almost inseparable because feeding time is still separate and we suspect it always will be. Poor Saxon will make himself sick in an attempt to eat his dinner, then Miranda's. We tried a slow feeding mat...but he ate it. Seriously, he'll eat the sponge and the scourer if you leave them in the kitchen sink.
Saxon will always be an indoor cat due to being deaf, white and FIV+ but, with a good diet and some responsible parenting, he and Miranda will be a joyous loving part of your family for many many years.
