About Patience
Princess Patience is a bright little girl who arrived into care at 4 weeks of age as part of the Last Litter Program. Her mum is a Cattle x Rottweiler and her father is a Mastiff. Mum was not coping with a large litter and is currently preparing for desexing. Mum is 4 years old and this was her first and only litter.
Patience was one of the smaller dogs in the litter and leans toward the Aussie Cattle Dog personality. She is bright and alert and numerous people have asked if she is a dalmation, as she is likely to stand a little taller than a Cattle Dog. We expect her to be a medium sized dog, based on her feet and weight gains across weeks.
Aussie Cattle Dogs are very alert and intelligent dogs. They are considered high energy dogs, who appreciate routines. Once you have introduced a high activity lifestyle to an ACD, they will expect you to maintain that activity, so if you are looking for a dog to regularly walk, run or cycle with you this girl will love it... and she'll also make sure you keep it up! The more work you give a cattle dog, the better they respond and the keener they are to keep working.
Patience will need a good sized yard and good fencing. She is soft coated and likely to be a low or no shedding dog. She is toilet trained and uses artificial grass when unable to access grass. She also comes when called and will sit for treats.
Patience comes with a special adoption pack, donated by a young couple who simply fell in love with her and wanted to ensure she got the best start with her forever family. It includes a bed, blanket, bowl, toys and a tin of food.
We also provide transition food and a toy shared by her litter mates to assist with settling in.
