About Idaho
Idaho came into care as part of a large group of extremely neglected and un-socialised cats and kittens. It’s been a long road to recovery for Idaho and his siblings, but after 6 months of intensive medical and behavioural care, Idaho is the first of his litter who is ready to find his forever home.
Idaho is a sweet, affectionate, cheeky little boy who loves to play and have the company of other cats/kittens. He is also fine with small, calm friendly dogs. While he’s still a little nervous around new people and in new situations, it won’t take him long to settle into his new home, once he adjusts to his new surroundings.
Idaho is looking for a mature home with at least one existing, proven cat friendly, playful cat. Alternatively, Idaho is available as part of a pair with one of his siblings -(https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/647059), which would be wonderful for the kittens, as they have been together for so long, so we are offering a reduced adoption fee for a pair, to the perfect home.
Idaho had such a terrible start to life, but despite this, he is now a happy, healthy friendly boy who will bring many years of joy to a very lucky home.
Idaho will need regular brushing, the occasional professional trim and his face needs wiping daily.
Idaho is in care in Wantirna South.
Medical notes
On arrival in care, Idaho was suffering from cat flu, ringworm and giardia. After multiple courses of medications and treatments, he is now very healthy, but all of these conditions can be triggered by suppression of the immune system and it is impossible for us to guarantee that the stress of a new environment won’t trigger a relapse of one or more of these conditions. We have gone to extreme lengths to ensure the best possible chance of Idaho remaining healthy, but applicants must be aware and accepting of the above.
Idaho goes to his new home desexed, microchipped, vaccinated x2, raised on premium food, flea and worm treated monthly for 6 months and groomed.
