About Antonio
Antonio was rescued from deathrow in a rural pound a few weeks ago and he has come a long way! He was a bit timid while impounded and spent his first few days here hiding under the bed. He now joins his humans on the bed regularly for mini cuddle sessions and is a big purring machine! He’s a chirpy boy who will greet you verbally when he sees you as well and appreciates lots and lots of pats. He doesn’t mind being picked up as long as it’s only for short periods.
He tolerates other cats, although he doesn’t go out of his way to interract with them. He gets intimidated by dogs at first but ignores them once he’s established that they’re not threats.
Antonio was described as ‘very large’ and ‘a bit obese’ by the pound and we can’t disagree. The boy definitely loves his food and it shows. We have limited his food to dry food only twice a day but it’s not easy to keep track of his weightloss journey with so many other cats around. A forever family who is willing to put in the effort to get him into better shape is ideal for this big boy.
