About Pepper
Pepper is not a Labrador – not even close! She found herself in a bit of a sticky position though so Labrador Rescue jumped in to save her. We are very glad we did as she’s an absolute sweetheart.
Pepper is a gorgeous girl who is very much a Labrador at heart. She is a black and white kelpie cross with lovely pepper type markings on her chest and nose (hence her name). She is a medium sized dog with a very slight build.
According to the vet she is about a year old, so still a puppy, and is very intelligent and eager to learn and please her new family. Her training has just started so she has much more to learn. She has such a sweet nature, having been tested with other dogs and people. She loves meeting people and gets very excited to find a new friend. She doesn’t bark and fits in well with other dogs. She is untested with cats.
Pepper’s favourite thing is to curl up and cuddle on the coach. She is very gentle and affectionate.
She is active and loves a run and a play, but still has to work on coming back when called. She would really suit an active family, perhaps with teenage children who play sport and love to run with their dog.
Adoption details
Please go to the website http://www.rescuealabrador.com/
to submit an adoption application. Please click on the adopt a dog link on the left hand side of the screen and complete the questions if you are interested in adopting aLabrador.
We will not discuss specific dogs with you until you have completed this questionnaire as this allows us to establish which dogs are potential matches for your lifestyle.
Once we have found a suitable match to your family, we will allow you to contact the appropriate foster carer who will discuss the dog in more detail with you.
Once you are both satisfied that this is a good match you will be able to meet the Lab. If all goes well, you will be able to take the dog on a 2 week trial. You will complete the adoption paperwork and pay the adoption fee at this stage.
At the end of the 2 week trial you will be able to adopt the Lab and we will submit the microchip transfer to the council.
