About Pip
Pip is a nine month old stock coated German Shepherd who has had two homes in her short life. This has been through no fault of her own but due to the inability of her previous owners to understand the needs of young active shepherd.
Pip is now in care with experienced shepherd owners who have had to start from scratch and show her what is acceptable behaviour. No more mouthing or jumping up this young girl has soon learnt with praise and consistency. Within a matter of days Pip has become a calm attentive dog and now fully house trained.
So keep in mind this young dog needs plenty of exercise, games to play and room to run. A fur friend who would enjoy lots of chasing games and tug of wars.
So we are looking for a home who can prove they have what it takes to continue with her training, provide her with a stable, calm home environment where she has firm boundaries and a daily routine.
Pip is sharing her rescue home with Maggie a mature aged shepherd who has been good to Pip giving her gentle direction and discipline when needed. We would consider Pip would be better suited to a home with a dog of similar size and energy level.
Pip is yet to be tested with cats and small dogs which we are working on in the coming days. Children need to be dog savvy older children as she is still “wired like a pup and excitable”.
For more information on Pip please complete our Dog Adoption form and we will then give you a call.
Medical notes
Pip has been desexed and received her two puppy vaccinations. She has been wormed and flea treated and has started on heart worm prevention.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
