About Ferguson
Hello! I am a pretty pure black boy who is exceptionally affectionate. I will consistently climb up your chest even now I'm bigger and I love to rub my nose against your nose and clean your face. My favourite thing to do is watch TV! I literally sit in front of it and watch it with my foster mum - she says its adorable! 🙂
I'm still quite small for a boy compared to my brother Ivar. I am a soft, chubby, cuddly cat who prefers to be on my own getting 100% attention. I need someone that will cuddle me a LOT and is home a lot because I'm so snuggly and I easily get lonely for my human. If you don't spend time with me I will even cry sometimes. I get along fantastic with the resident cat and love the dog too.
My carer says I'm a very beautiful looking boy with a very pretty face and gorgeous greeny yellow eyes. I love it when you kiss my cheeks and forehead and will climb my foster mum's chest and rest against her mouth til she give me kisses. She says I am the most affectionate, sweet-natured little cat she's ever seen.
I do like to play like all kittens too, especially with anything that crinkles! just not as much as my litter-mates. I prefer to just curl up with my human on the couch or in bed. I don't get up to mischief like the others but I follow them around and watch. I would fit into a house with other cats or dogs but definitely need someone who won't be annoyed by a cat that smooches their face and who will give me lots of cuddles and kisses and spend heaps of time with me. The children I've met are a lot of fun because they love snuggling as much as I do!
Do you think I'd make a good fit in your family?
Love, Ferguson.
He left his mother at 11 weeks of age so had a wonderful beginning to life with mum on a top-notch diet providing quality milk. He was weaned onto very good kitten food too so is a very healthy boy.
**FERGUSON comes with a $40 voucher from Edgewater Vet for anything at all from a consult or vaccination to surgery.**
For his safety and your own peace of mind Ferguson needs to be an indoor-only cat, although a secure cat enclosure would be a wonderful bonus for him. But an enriched household (with cat towers, scratchers & plenty of toys), some good window seats & views of outside perhaps with a screen door or window to look through & sniff the breeze, and lots of attention should be adequate. Lagertha is an active boy and would love to have furry members of the family to play with but would be ok as an only pet with humans who love to spend time with him.
Located in Cloverdale.
Medical notes
Ferguson has had a vet check, both vaccinations and has been microchipped and sterilised. He is eating a very high quality diet which this Rescue provides for all animals in its care and we will ask the adoptive family to continue feeding a similar quality.
Adoption details
When you see the picture, read the profile & think "This is the one!" I want to hear from you! Please message me with your email address so I can send you an application form. Although it's important for these adoptees to find their forever homes asap, there will be an informal interview process to see if you both match. This is the difference between adopting & buying and it serves the really important purpose of keeping you together for life. All family members will be included in the adoption process. Everyone counts.
1. Message me.
2. I send you an Application form via email.
3. I will phone you.
4. Meet & greet.
5. 2 week (or more) trial adoption.
6. You have a new family member!
The adoption fee shown on each listing mainly covers the cost of the vetwork needed before adoption & it allows rescue continuity. It is seriously much cheaper to adopt from a rescue than to get a "Free to good home" & organise all the vetwork yourself.
Once it's been decided that you will trial your possible family member, you will complete the adoption form, pay the fee & take him/her home to see for sure that the fit is right. The settling in process can take some time or it may be almost instant. If after a while (around 2 weeks) it becomes apparant that the chemistry just isn't there, the animal can be returned for a full refund. Please be aware that this is not a failure for either you or the adoptee. It simply didn't work & there is no blame.
If the adoption goes ahead but some unforseen circumstance rises in the future, near or far, where you must be separated, your pet MUST be returned to PRAAS; not rehomed by yourself. We have rescued that animal & we need to know that he/she is safe for the rest of its life. It may be that you have a wonderful next home to move them to, in which case please let us know.
If the animal is returned to us at this later stage there is no refund.
