Hi my name is Cobba and I'm looking for an athletic home with owners who would love a handsome canine jogging partner or a beach buddy to take swimming.
I'm a big puppy, and at just a couple of years old I still have boundless dingo energy, enough to keep a whole family of kids busy with my playful antics (if you have them). I am a big boy though, so kids 10 and up would be best so I don't bowl them over with my enthusiasm and affection. I would definitely also benefit from a doggie friend to keep me company during the day and play with me when you're not around.
I am at the beginning of my journey when it comes to training (I haven't had anyone to teach me- but I want to learn). So my new owners need to be willing to tackle some of my cheeky habits like chewing things I'm not supposed to and jumping up when I'm excited, but luckily the rescue has a great free dog behaviourist who is here to help with tips and advice for my new family. One cool thing I already know though is my name! I come when I'm called and I'm great off leash (a rarity for dingoes). There's even some photos of me playing off lead in my petrescue profile.
As a dingo cross I am a good jumper and climber so my fur-ever family will need secure 1.8m or higher fences made of a sheer material such as wooden palings or colourbond OR a dog enclosure. I love the outdoors and I am not suited to an indoor only home.
I cannot go to a home with cats, livestock, birds or pocket pets as I am a little too interested and love to chase.
Please note at this time pending legal advice we are unable to offer fox kit adoption to private owners.
1. Send an email inquiry with your name and contact details outlining your current living situation, pets and family members and anything else you think might be relevant, particularly what your house and yard are like. Remember our dingoes typically require an enclosure or modified fencing.
2. We will email you back adoption information and an application form to fill out and return to us.
3. If your application is approved- Come along to meet us and our dingoes at our Camden shelter or their foster carers home and let us find the right furry family member for you.
4. Before you can pick up your new dingo you will also need to under a house/yard check and pay your adoption fee. No animals are rehomed unless their adoption fee is paid in full and a yard check has been completed.
