Loving and affectionate
Medium Male Border Collie Mix Dog

On Hold
Fergus is a loving and affectionate pup that likes to be around people most of the time. He will stay close when out walking, even when his litter-mates run off to play. He looks for a cuddle any chance he gets.
Fergus loves his food, and after a walk, is always first back to the house for his meal, where he will sit and wait before eating. He has just started to learn ‘down’ and ‘sit’ on command. He has good recall.
Fergus is a little wary and unsure of new situations, sights and sounds but with reassurance he soon gains trust and confidence.
He is good with kids, has met the cat and goats and is great with other dogs. He's not the best friend of chickens.
Fergus would be best suited to a medium energy family who are around a lot of the time or who have an adult, larger, dominant doggy friend to keep him company while humans are away. As his mum is a Staghound/Whippet X, he will most likely grow to be slightly larger than his Border Collie dad. His new owners should be prepared to continue his obedience training, so he becomes a social, well-adjusted member of the family and the canine community.
