About Callie
Miss Callie is seeking a new forever home through no fault of her own, due to major changes in her owners household that has seen less time being spent on her. Callie still has plenty of love to give the perfect family that is breed knowledged and would love to have a queen in their household.
Callie has been raised as the only dog of the home, she does not like sharing her home so needs be a only animal. She does find car rides to be a little daunting to begin with, but is learning that they are fun and loves trying to stick her head out the window as the world whizzes by. Her nature is loyal and protective to her owners and at only 51kg she is on the smaller size for her breed.
Callie could do with some more leash work and one on one training. Please do not inquire if you have other animals in the household. She is untested with livestock. Secure fencing is a must to keep her safe (no farm/wire fencing).Callie has lived with small children but can be quite wary of some new kids. We are seeking a home that is adult only or with older teenage kids.
A Neapolitan Mastiff experienced home is a must for Callie.
Medical notes
Callie is having surgery to correct the entropia she has inherited. She has no corneal damage and her eyesight is good. She does get yeast infections on her skin and in her ears from grain based foods so a home that caters to grain free kibble or raw diet is a must to maintain peak physical health and comfort. She will be getting an xray of her hips to determine hip health due to her age. This will be updated later this week. Full medical notes from our vets can be obtained at request.
*UPDATE* Callies hip xrays have come back all clear. Vets have not found anything to be concerned about and said her hip health is good for her age and as it should be. She is recovering from her entropia surgery and is expected to get her stitches out 3//4. We are expecting her to have a final vet clearance at this time for her to start her new life with her new family.
