On Hold
Meet Ernie,
Ernie is a kind hearted, loving pup who has just discovered that human company comes with cuddles. He is one of the first to line up for his share. At the moment he is a tangle of legs and is not that well coordinated, as expected for a pup of his age. Given his breeding, we believe he may be larger than a border collie once fully grown.
Ernie is learning to sit on command, to come to his name, to sit and wait at meal times and the ‘down’ command to curb his excited jumping to gain attention.
He is energetic in spurts, but soon tires and needs a sleep to recover. He stays close if his litter mates are not around and has spent his short life on a farm around other dogs, goats, cats, cows and chickens. He is good with other dogs.
Ernie’s ideal family would be active, with older children, another dog to play with, or a family member around a lot of the time to keep him company.
Ernie would benefit from attending puppy school and obedience training so he becomes a well-adjusted part of the doggy world.
