Meet Jax
Jax has a gently, loyal, temperament. At times he can be a bit unsure of what is expected of him and will look to his human for guidance.
He knows how to sit, get down when he jumps and to sit to wait for his food. He is learning to drop and to focus on his handler in order to walk properly on a lead. As a young dog he can become distracted by what’s happening around him, particularly the presence of other dogs as he just wants to play. Recall is good when there are no distractions, but in a world full of new and exciting things to explore, he will need further obedience training.
Jax is a loving boy who likes the company of his people. He also loves to run and play with other dogs and can bark excitedly to get their attention to play with him.
He would do well as an only dog, provided he has plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, or by having an older desexed female friend to play with, for the times when his people are not around. He will also need a home with no chickens or ducks and is likely to chase cats if they run from him. Jax’s new family should be prepared to continue his training so he can become a well-adjusted member of the family and the doggy community.
