On Hold
About Dahl *On Hold Deposit Paid
Dahl's colour and coat texture is stunning! Both to look at and to feel. She also melts into you when you pick up & hold her. Then she becomes a real tomboy who loves to climb and play. She is always the first to come for a pat and a snuggle and will purr away while lapping up the attention. Dahl is Miss Independent and will occupy herself continually exploring and loves making the most of all the playing apparatus and the window sill to watch the world go by. She loves playing with her sisters and enjoys the rough and tumble of it all; you can almost see her laughing at them because she is faster than they are. Dahl has a beautiful energy about her and will definitely make her family very happy. She is fully litter trained and is booked in to be desexed next Friday. She is patiently waiting for you to take her to a loving forever home.
Dahl and her sister Mala have the most amazing silver tabby coat which feels like soft velvet. She's a little fluffy and it may grow to a medium length. Absolutely gorgeous!
If you are interested in Dahl you're welcome to apply to adopt her, meet her & put down a deposit to keep her until she's ready to go which will be about a week after her surgery when it's seen that she is doing well.
For her safety and your own peace of mind Dahl should be an indoor-only cat, although a secure cat enclosure would be a wonderful bonus for her. But an enriched household (with cat towers, scratchers & plenty of toys), some good window seats & views of outside perhaps with a screen door or window to look through & sniff the breeze, and lots of attention should be adequate. Dahl is an active girl and would love to have furry members of the family to play with.
Located in Carabooda.
Medical notes
Dahl is very healthy, being fed the most nourishing kitten diet available to make her develop to her fullest potential, both physically and mentally. She has been vet-checked, microchipped, had both vaccinations and will be sterilised before adoption. No vet visit for you until 2019!
Adoption details
When you see the picture, read the profile & think "This is the one!" I want to hear from you! Please message me with your email address so I can send you an application form. Although it's important for these adoptees to find their forever homes asap, there will be an informal interview process to see if you both match. This is the difference between adopting & buying and it serves the really important purpose of keeping you together for life. All family members will be included in the adoption process. Everyone counts.
1. Message me.
2. I send you an Application form via email.
3. I will phone you.
4. Meet & greet.
5. 2 week (or more) trial adoption.
6. You have a new family member!
The adoption fee shown on each listing mainly covers the cost of the vetwork needed before adoption & it allows rescue continuity. It is seriously much cheaper to adopt from a rescue than to get a "Free to good home" & organise all the vetwork yourself.
Once it's been decided that you will trial your possible family member, you will complete the adoption form, pay the fee & take him/her home to see for sure that the fit is right. The settling in process can take some time or it may be almost instant. If after a while (around 2 weeks) it becomes apparant that the chemistry just isn't there, the animal can be returned for a full refund. Please be aware that this is not a failure for either you or the adoptee. It simply didn't work & there is no blame.
If the adoption goes ahead but some unforseen circumstance rises in the future, near or far, where you must be separated, your pet MUST be returned to PRAAS; not rehomed by yourself. We have rescued that animal & we need to know that he/she is safe for the rest of its life. It may be that you have a wonderful next home to move them to, in which case please let us know.
If the animal is returned to us at this later stage there is no refund.
