About Pixie**On Hold Deposit Paid
Not currently available as deposit has been paid.
Pixie has had such a tough start to life but you can make the rest of it just wonderful. She's a very small & dainty cat, still a kitten at about 10 months old altho she currently has her 2 babies with her. She will always be small because she didn't get the chance to grow up before falling pregnant and probably was not fed nearly enough to help her grow and feed kittens, but now in rescue she is getting into the right shape, instead of the sad & skinny little thing she was when she first arrived.
Despite her neglected upbringing she is super friendly with people, has learned to quite like the dogs in the house and with cats, either loves or hates them. I haven't figured out what makes the difference yet. But once she stops being a mother her truer personality will show and she may like more cats then.
Pixie has almost weaned her 2 babies Layla & Willow, (she has been such an excellent and caring mother) & at the time of writing she is due to be sterilised next week. She will be ready for adoption when her kittens are 10 weeks old which is 2-3 weeks from this writing. By then she should have regained her full health on the excellent diet & treatment she is receiving.
Pixie would love to be adopted with one of her daughters Layla (who is a little mini-me) or Willow, but can also go home on her own.
If you are interested in Pixie you're welcome to apply to adopt her, meet her & put down a deposit to keep her until she's ready to go.
For her safety and your own peace of mind Pixie should be an indoor-only cat, although a secure cat enclosure would be a wonderful bonus for her. But an enriched household (with cat towers, scratchers & plenty of toys), some good window seats & views of outside perhaps with a screen door or window to look through & sniff the breeze, and lots of attention should be adequate
Located in Yanchep.
Medical notes
Pixie will have all her vetwork done prior to moving to her adopted home, including 2 vaccinations, desexing and microchip. She is a small cat and has regained full health while in care.

Adoption details
When you see the picture, read the profile & think "This is the one!" I want to hear from you! Please message me with your email address so I can send you an application form. Although it's important for these adoptees to find their forever homes asap, there will be an informal interview process to see if you both match. This is the difference between adopting & buying and it serves the really important purpose of keeping you together for life. All family members will be included in the adoption process. Everyone counts.
1. Message me.
2. I send you an Application form via email.
3. I will phone you.
4. Meet & greet.
5. 2 week (or more) trial adoption.
6. You have a new family member!
The adoption fee shown on each listing mainly covers the cost of the vetwork needed before adoption & it allows rescue continuity. It is seriously much cheaper to adopt from a rescue than to get a "Free to good home" & organise all the vetwork yourself.
Once it's been decided that you will trial your possible family member, you will complete the adoption form, pay the fee & take him/her home to see for sure that the fit is right. The settling in process can take some time or it may be almost instant. If after a while (around 2 weeks) it becomes apparant that the chemistry just isn't there, the animal can be returned for a full refund. Please be aware that this is not a failure for either you or the adoptee. It simply didn't work & there is no blame.
If the adoption goes ahead but some unforseen circumstance rises in the future, near or far, where you must be separated, your pet MUST be returned to PRAAS; not rehomed by yourself. We have rescued that animal & we need to know that he/she is safe for the rest of its life. It may be that you have a wonderful next home to move them to, in which case please let us know.
If the animal is returned to us at this later stage there is no refund.
