About Monty (and Basil)
**Please note, Monty is located on the Central Coast, NSW, and you must be able to have a face to face visit before adoption.**
Monty is a purely black cat with a few tiny wisps of white fur. Monty is a fairly reserved cat, however she does love a good bum scratch and most days will gladly hop onto someone's lap for some pats. She doesn't spend a lot of time playing or exploring, and mostly likes to watch the world go by from her favourite viewing areas. However, if something does get her going, watching her play is hilarious. She is very gentle during playtime, and doesn't bite or scratch. Monty is a bit of a chatterbox, and loves to chase bugs.
When Monty is feeling really relaxed, her mouth will start to drop open and her little pink tongue will poke out. She has a very strange purr, that sounds more like heavy breathing than a purr. Monty has a relaxed personality, and seems to adapt to new situations fairly quickly. Due to Monty's hunting abilities with bugs, she is an indoor only cat.
Monty lives in foster care with her sister Basil (see her here https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/596305) Together Monty and Basil are wonderful. They play with and clean each other every day. They will wrestle a lot and then sleep together in a tight hug. When they are apart for too long or if one can't find her sister then they will call out until they're reunited. We believe they are bonded and would love to see them adopted together.
Monty is great with other cats, but hasn't had the opportunity to meet dogs or other types of pets before. She would be fine with older children who could be patient with her.
