About Vanilla **On Hold - Deposit paid
Vanilla is one of the prettiest kittens I've ever seen and is big for his age. He is the colour of fresh snow - pure white with beautiful eyes and a wonderful temperament and nature to match. He's a friendly, confident kitty and loves affection from his humans. He purrs and does the butt wiggle when we run down his back. He comes to us for pats. He is such a playful, delightful and charming kitty. He truly is stunning. Someone needs to scoop him up quickly!
His growth has been extraordinary. Since he came into care at the same time as his litter and other kittens his age, he shot up & out more than his siblings. He got all the big cat genes! And the super premium diet he is on has helped too. He may be a bigger adult cat than average.
Vanilla would suit most home and family situations. He should accept dogs or other cats with time and proper introductions. He will be a charming little prince for whoever has the pleasure of sharing their home with him.
Vanilla and Charlotte are a family duo if you want to adopt 2 bonded kitties but he is fine to go by himself too.
For his safety and your own peace of mind Vanilla must be an indoor-only cat, although a secure cat enclosure would be a wonderful bonus for him. But an enriched household (with cat towers, scratchers & plenty of toys), some good window seats & views of outside, perhaps with a screen door or window to look through & sniff the breeze, and lots of attention should be adequate.
Located in Carabooda.
Medical notes
Vanilla has been checked by a vet, wormed, de-flea'd, microchipped, desexed and had both vaccinations. He is being fed a top quality nourishing kittens diet to be sure he will reach his fullest potential, both physically and mentally.
Adoption details
When you see the picture, read the profile & think "This is the one!" I want to hear from you! Please message me with your email address so I can send you an application form. Although it's important for these adoptees to find their forever homes asap, there will be an informal interview process to see if you both match. This is the difference between adopting & buying and it serves the really important purpose of keeping you together for life. All family members will be included in the adoption process. Everyone counts.
1. Message me.
2. I send you an Application form via email.
3. I will phone you.
4. Meet & greet.
5. 2 week (or more) trial adoption.
6. You have a new family member!
The adoption fee shown on each listing mainly covers the cost of the vetwork needed before adoption & it allows rescue continuity. It is seriously much cheaper to adopt from a rescue than to get a "Free to good home" & organise all the vetwork yourself.
Once it's been decided that you will trial your possible family member, you will complete the adoption form, pay the fee & take him/her home to see for sure that the fit is right. The settling in process can take some time or it may be almost instant. If after a while (around 2 weeks) it becomes apparant that the chemistry just isn't there, the animal can be returned for a full refund. Please be aware that this is not a failure for either you or the adoptee. It simply didn't work & there is no blame.
If the adoption goes ahead but some unforseen circumstance rises in the future, near or far, where you must be separated, your pet MUST be returned to PRAAS; not rehomed by yourself. We have rescued that animal & we need to know that he/she is safe for the rest of its life. It may be that you have a wonderful next home to move them to, in which case please let us know.
If the animal is returned to us at this later stage there is no refund.
