Looking for love
Female Domestic Short Hair Cat
- Rescue group:
- Little Legs Dog & Cat Rescue Qld Inc
- PetRescue ID:
My name is Millie and if we haven’t met yet its because I’ve been patiently waiting for you – a kind, gentle and patient mummy or daddy to find me!!!
You’ve probably been looking for me for a long time too because you’re not looking for an ordinary cat (and as my foster mummy keeps telling me, I’m extraordinary!!) It’s because you have a special place in your heart for a little lady who’s had to overcome some small hurdles along her journey but is ready to receive the special kind of love and kindness you know only you can provide.
Sometimes in a new home I can get really frightened and like to hide myself away until I’m used to it. But you knew this, because you know what it's like. Like you I get a bit confused when I don’t know where I am and need a little extra understanding until I settle in. In the beginning, I can even be a bit grumpy but when I feel safe and secure, you know I’ll be by your side every chance I get 🙂
Sometimes, I try to chase my foster mummy’s feet when she walks past me. This makes her laugh because when I first arrived, I used to scratch and bite her because I was so frightened but now I know she won’t hurt me so I let her pick me up all the time, scratch my cheek, tickle my chin… I even let her touch my tail…sometimes!!!!
If only she would stay away from my belly – she’s a slow learner lol!
But not you, you’re smart!
You know any transition takes time and attention!
Now I’ve got the time… did I get your attention?
