* Chilli is a special needs dog * PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS PRIOR TO APPLYING
He is affectionate and playful once he's settled in, but this take time, patience and a lot of understanding. He is ONLY suited to a home that will continue to work on his confidence and appreciates that time is the key.
Chilli is not an instant lap dog, he has many years of being un-socialised and has grown immensely in foster care, but his next home needs to continue this dedicated care in order to receive the love Chilli has to offer, he needs to be understood and re-assured.
He enjoys time on his own too sometimes so he doesn't cling to his human all the time, sudden movements sometimes frighten him, he loves pats on the head and on his back, not so much around the neck or belly.
He's good with following routines and may become uncomfortable when something changes.
Not so great with big dogs or dogs who are too active as they can be too intimidating for little Chilli.
Chilli is fine with cats. No reaction from him when he was around a cat.
Chilli loves walks. He walks on the right. Sniffs and pees on things as he goes. He knows how to get into a car and if he's in the front passenger seat he will hop into the driver's lap when he thinks he's arrived at the destination :)
Loves chilling on grass, he would roll around and have a scrub. After his walk he might still be excited and start running around by himself in the backyard.
Chilli is more comfortable eating under a table where he feels protected.
He loves treats including peanut butter and mango pieces.
Chilli has his quirks but he's full of life and will be a wonderful companion to someone who wishes to give him time and patience. He is not suited to a home with children.
Chilli is currently in foster care in Highbury, SA 5089.

If you are short listed for the particular doggy you applied for, you will be contacted by a team member/foster carer of Moving Paws Inc to arrange a meet a greet within one week of receiving the application.
If the first meet and greet is successful and both parties wish to proceed a home visit is then conducted. We allow both parties an additional 24 hours to make sure they are fully committed to adopting another family member.
We unfortunately as volunteers do not have time to contact every application, but as above we will contact those that are shortlisted.
Moving Paws wants the experience of adopting a new family member to be a good one and we will occasionally suggest a different doggy as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual dog you have applied for.
There is a 4 week return policy, during this period our team will be in touch several times to make sure the transition period is going well and answer any questions you may have.
Moving Paws Inc only adopts to Adelaide metropolitan, hills area and fleurieu areas.
