Hi there, my name is Star and
if you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an expression of interest form and a RSPCA staff member will contact you as soon as possible.
Star light, star bright,
First star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have this wish I wish tonight.
I am a beautiful young TB mare wishing for a life free from troubles as I so deserve. I absolutely adore attention, I'm a little bit demanding and love to have all eyes on me, so if you've got plenty of time on your hands to spend showering me with love and scratches, I'm your woman.
I am only young so my last race was only 2 years ago, however I may not make much of a ridden prospect due to an old injury on my hip. It appears to have been fractured at some point so when I arrived at the RSPCA and I was extremely underweight, you could see it looked like I had a hip bone missing. Now that I've put on a heap of weight and I'm looking much more round, you can't tell just by looking. I do love a good hoon around the paddock and my hips don't seem to affect this, but I might not make a high level competition horse.
But that's OK with me, if you don't want me as a light riding horse I'll be just as happy if I have to spend my days being spoilt by my owner and playing with my paddock mates.
When I arrived at the RSPCA I had a very severe case of rain scald, I was almost bald all over my back and if I scratched myself on a tree I would cause myself to bleed. The good news is the scarring hasn't caused any permanent damage so once my summer coat comes through you won't even notice!
I might not be winning prize money anymore but I sure am winning hearts, come and meet me and see for yourself.
I am not desexed.
RSPCA adoption animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatments before going to their new homes, and this is all included in the adoption fee.
Our adoption teams are expert match makers and will help you find your new best friend!
