Hi I’m Clover! I’m still learning my name but I’m getting pretty good at coming when I’m called. I’m a lovely wolfie mix with lots of gorgeous long-ish black fur, with a cute white patch on my chest. I am a loving and friendly goofball who just ADORES people and cuddles. In fact I love humans so much I will stand up on my hind legs to get as tall as them and put my arms around their necks to give them a big cuddle and a lick on the face.
My foster mum says it is a nightmare trying to get a photo of me on my own as I ALWAYS want to be giving you all the love and attention. My foster mum also says I’m the happiest dog she’s ever seen – I recently had my lady operation and they made me wear a stupid cone on my head for a week, but I didn’t even care about that or let that stop me having all the fun!
I’m always super excited to see my foster family when they get back home, and do a wiggle bum dance to say hello. As I am a very loving breed who really needs to be around my people, I need a home where I can be allowed inside as well as outside, and where my family will give me lots of affection. And when I don’t think I’m getting enough I’ll let you know about it by batting you with my paws. In fact, I’ll even shake hands with you! I’m clever like that.
I really enjoy giving out free hugs all the time, but sometimes I forget that I’m a bit strong! My foster family have been teaching me to walk with a halti on as without it I drag my foster mum around a bit.
I don’t mind the halti too much, I still get to sniff all the exciting stuff. I’m pretty good at things like sitting for food, taking treats gently, and am trying to learn to stop jumping up to kiss the humans ALL the time, as I need to be a bit more careful around the littler humans so I don’t knock them over with my love and enthusiasm.
In my foster home I get to hang out and play with my two foster brothers. I enjoy playing with them quite a bit (and don’t mind a bit of rough and tumbly play!), especially as they are about the same size as me, but I don’t mind smaller dogs either! In fact I’m pretty friendly with all the dogs that I come across.
But when I’m not playing or cuddling there is nothing I like more than kicking back and relaxing – I do love a good afternoon snooze! If there is one things I DON’T like though, its cats. In fact I really don’t like cats at all. I think they look pretty tasty and fun to chase, so my foster mum says I need a furever home with good fencing to keep me and the neighbourhood cats safe from my games.
