About Oscar
**Application Pending**
Oscar is a soft and sensitive soul who gazes directly into your eyes.
As a way of affirmation, of connection and bond. For a cue of something wanted, an affectionate touch, or just tuning in with those around him.
He is looking for a home that will provide stability, care and foster all the wonderful traits that he has shown. Someone to grow him in continued confidence, and worthy of the trust he bestows upon people.
Oscar would love to be back in some open space, on property where life is simple. He has shown no interest in stock when tested and recalls when asked.
To just potter around and be with whatever it is that you are doing and to be included inside the home.
Oscar has had a huge shift in his life and has been nothing other than an absolute delight, during this transitional period in foster care.
In his foster home, Oscar has shown a sensibility and calmness beyond his years. He is very people orientated, loving an all over scratch and excited to interact with males in the home.
He is dog friendly having previously lived with another dog. One that he trusted, for the social cues for new interactions with unknown dogs. He is now successfully learning how to make those decisions for himself. Oscar chooses to observe first and not always interact, especially with over the top in your face dogs. He does prefer to remove himself from situations that he initially feels uncomfortable in.
Oscars' most favourite thing in the world is to go for a ride in the car.
He has excellent manners, walks well on lead, has recall, house trained, crate trained and can use a doggy door. He doesn't dig or chew and only alert barks, when something's going on out of the ordinary.
Oscar is not accustomed to loud gruff voices or abrupt behaviours in the home, doing well with routine and is better suited to school aged children.
He thrives on being an inclusive member of the day to day household activities, either as an only dog, or with another easy going resident dog.
Oscar is living in a big and small multi dog foster home as well as a resident cat.
