About Daisy ~ Mastiff x puppy (on trial 26/9/17)
Introducing adorable little Daisy, a 10 week old, female Mastiff x puppy. She is a lovable, placid puppy with a relaxed and easy going nature. Daisy is a pleasure to look after with her playful antics and sunny personality.
Daisy loves company and is not a dog to leave in your backyard. She just wants to follow you around and loves nothing better than falling asleep on your lap on the lounge. She is everybody’s friend and would get on well with children and other dogs. She is currently living with a Labrador and her sister who she loves romping around with.
Daisy is very well behaved for a puppy but will still chew your shoes and dig in the garden. She is very smart and easy to train and just wants to please. She loves her food and will sit and wait patiently for her dinner. She is not toilet trained, but learning fast. We recommend taking her to puppy preschool - not just for obedience but for socializing and exercise too.
Daisy had a rough start to life and her history and breeding are unsure. She looks like a very pretty Dalmatian! She most likely has a sheep dog background and will need plenty of regular exercise to keep her mind and body healthy.
Daisy would be ideally suited to a family that will incorporate her into their daily lives and have her in the home. She does need company so would suit an adult that is home more often than not and she would be a great companion for another dog with playful energy levels. She will grow into a medium to large sized dog and needs high secure fences to keep her safe (and no small gaps while she is a small, inquisitive puppy).
Daisy's siblings are also available for adoption.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
