About Maisy ~ Kelpie X (on trial 29/12/2017)
Introducing sweet, loveable Maisy. Maisy is a pleasure to look after with her playful antics and affectionate nature.
Maisy loves company and is not a dog to leave alone in your backyard for long periods.. She just wants to follow you around and loves to fall asleep on your lap. She is very friendly and loves people and other dogs. Maisy is currently living with two other dogs who she enjoys romping around with.
Maisy is very well behaved for a young dog but still has the playful energy of a puppy and loves her chew toys and playing fetch. She will sit patiently and wait for her food and will always come when she is called. She is easy to train and just wants to please.
Maisy and had a rough start to life and her history and breeding are unknown but she has many of the sheep dog traits with her easy going personality, high energy levels and intelligence. She is happy to laze around but does need a good daily run.
She would be ideally suited to a family that can incorporate her into their lives and have her in the home. She would be suited to older children that can participate in training her. She does need company so would suit an adult that is home more often than not and she would be a great companion for another dog with playful energy levels. She will grow into a medium sized dog and needs a large yard with high, secure fencing to keep her safe.
If you are after a friendly, loving and faithful companion then Maisy is the puppy for you.
For more information or to meet Maisy, please contact Lucy on 0434 430 720 or lucyhollard@idl.com.au. Maisy is in care in the Newcastle area, NSW.
Maisy's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
