About Me
I was named Aaron because it means lofty, teacher, mountain of strength or high mountain.
My foster mum says I'm a really looker and am always well dressed. That's pretty easy - I'm a tuxie boy and I always look good.
I love my life since being rescued. It's certainly a pampered one in comparison to the one I had living it tough on the streets with my sister Aimee. We coped OK living in someone's garden and they were kind enough to feed us. Lucky for us they contacted RescueCat Project to see if they could help us be re-homed. Because my sister Aimee was busy caring with her newborns my rescuer Leesa ensured that I have the company of other cats particularly knowing I'd been hanging out with my sister.
I'm so grateful because I can't imagine not having their friendship especially with my best friend Sid. I have taught him that you humans are ok - that not all of you are scary. I'm super happy and love people too. Leesa keeps saying how much she could easily keep me forever. However she says that I deserve my own forever humans and promised us that she will ensure Sid and I go to the same forever home so we can be together forever. We need to be together and the bonus for you is that with two of us - you'll get double the love.
What we think
Aaron is a scallywag and an all time larrikin - check out the photos here and on Sid's listing and you will see Aaron is a master at photo bombing Sid's photos. OK I'll admit Aaron is one of my favourites and he just melts my heart. He's such a beautiful natured cat not only to humans but also with all other cats and kittens. He's shared with lots of cats and he just likes them all. He's such a darling that he even tries to make friends with cats that aren't as willing to share their space with other cats.. He's developed a special friendship with gorgeous Sid. They call out to each other in a melodic way and entwine their tails around each other. Aaron loves to groom Sid - they are absolutely gorgeous together.
I love the way he greets me when I visit. He talks to me too, which is of course partly because he knows I'll serve him his favourite meal of kangaroo but the fact is he will leave the bowl to come for cuddles. Aaron's signature mannerisms including his very cute head bop and he lifts his tail and gives it a flick and then lift his bum up high and drops the front of his body to the floor when he wants to be patted. He delights so much in being paid attentin that he then proceeds to roll on his back to expose his tummy for a rub too. This is the ultimate display of trust by a cat! When I call his name he races across the room to me. I've mastered the way to pick him up because he arches his back against me. He presses his head up against my neck and turns up the volume of his purr-machine so much that he sometimes snorts with pure joy.
Scallywag Aaron gets very excited when I go to the cupboard when their special toys are kept. He's even occasionally trys to help himself to the toys if I leave the cupboard door open and drags the toys on sticks out so I'll play with them. I always know what he's doing becuase he is chatting to me and Sid when's he is climbling in it. Their favourite toy ever is the "Go Cat Da Bird" toy. They get so excited!
Here's the details for Sid his best friend because they are a bundled package Pet Rescue ID is 540956
Medical notes
Aaron is vaccinated (F3), desexed and microchipped. He is also flea and worm treated. PCR viral tested for FIV and FeLV - negative.
He's in fabulous condition with a shiny coat - not surprising considering he's fed premium wet and dry food.
As he is a rescue cat, so we do not know his family history.
