About Sheba - Queen of the Kittens
ABOUT ME: My name is Sheba – Queen of the Kittens! I think my foster mommy named me Sheba because I’m so regal looking, with my stunning face, lithe body, unusual silver tabby markings and green almond shaped eyes. I am told I’m quite exotic looking – stunning I think was the word my foster parents used to describe me. Although I tell you, when I arrived here with my brother Cyrus, I looked more like a pauper than like royalty. But since being here at the shelter, I’ve become just like Cinderella – from rags to riches! I’d love to be queen of the castle where perhaps a handsome cat prince is waiting for me – I do enjoy the company of other cats. It’s taken me a while to engage with humans too – I’m starting to like them, and I’ve learned that they aren’t just here to serve me (although I do like it when they pat me and give me nice food). I don’t usually seek out human attention (such behaviour is beneath a queen cat), but I quite enjoy it when you pay me attention. In fact, I like it so much I am even known to grant head buts and the occasional smooch. Now it’s high time for me to find my own palace. Apparently, when Queen Sheba appeared before King Solomon, she came bearing expensive gifts, gold, and precious gems. Well, I may not come with gold or diamonds, but if you take me to your castle, I will give you my heart, which is just as precious!
WHAT WE THINK: While there are a number of truly beautiful cats here at RescueCat Project to photograph, Sheba is one kitty stands out - she really does look like royalty. She has that exotic regal look, with her almond shaped eyes, defined cheekbones, silver colouring with a splash of apricot, and stunning markings. Poor Sheba didn’t always live the life of a queen – before arriving here, she was living the hard life on the streets, hardly fit for such a beautiful cat. But with a little love and care, she is slowly becoming the empress she was always meant to be. Sheba especially enjoys one on one time with humans. While little girl isn’t one to seek the limelight and doesn't specifically seek out human affection, she absolutely loves people and loves when she gets human attention. She has also enjoyed the company of other cats – like Sammy and Millie and our resident watch cat Rupert. So we think Sheba would love a little cat king or another queen. Will you be the one to give her the royal treatment she so deserves?
Medical notes
None, but happy to discuss. Please note that Sheeba is a pound cat, which means we don't know her background or history, and her age is an estimate only.
