About Kiara and Theon
Kiara and Theon are four month old siblings. Kiara is tabby and tortoiseshell and Theon is Tabby. Both have gorgeous markings but Kiara's continue to change as she grows.
Kiara and Theon and their two siblings were brought into the veterinary clinic I work at after being found under the finders house after a storm. They were wet, freezing cold and anemic from a heavy flea and worm burden. Unfortunately one sister passed away the first night at the clinic and the other sister was put to sleep to end her suffering. Kiara and Theon came into care at Little Paws.
These kittens are without a doubt two of the most affectionate kittens we have ever had in care. If you're on the couch, they're on your lap. If you're in bed, they'll be snuggled up in your arms. If you're in the kitchen, they'll be there to offer their services as taste testers. And if you're in the bathroom, they will always be there to keep you company.
Kiara likes to be in the bathroom when the shower is in use. She loves to watch the water fall down the screen door and try to catch the droplets. She also has a fascination with eyelashes. She watches while you blink then grooms your eyelashes and eyebrows.
Theon likes to supervise while the litter trays are scooped. When you think you've finished, he'll jump in and playful dig through to make sure you haven't missed anything.
Kiara is a bit of a Daddy's girl while Theon is a Mummy's boy so the love is shared evenly. We love them dearly so only the most loving home will do for these very special kittens.
Adoption details
Before Adoption:
Before adopting a new pet, ensure all family members understand that a pet is an emotional and financial commitment that you need to be prepared to love, house and keep safe for the next 15 to 20 years. This means premium nutrition, preventative health care, regular veterinary check-ups and keeping them inside or only having access to a cat proof area or yard. Pet insurance with accident and illness cover gives you piece of mind knowing your pet can get the veterinary care they may need and you don’t have to worry about if the expense.
We start off by either emailing you our adoption questionnaire or having a chat on the phone to get some details about who you are and what you’re looking for in a feline companion. Next step is to organise a meet and greet. Depending on your location, we bring the feline/s to you or you can come and visit the orphanage. There is usually a 24hour wait from the meet and greet to collecting your new family member so everyone has a night to think things over and so you have a chance to get your home repaired. If all goes well and everyone is happy, the adoption paperwork is signed and you collect your new family member.
All adoptions are subject to a two week settling in period. If for any reason your new addition is not suited to your lifestyle, you are welcome to return them for a full refund of the adoption fee. All adoptions come with an adoption pack which contains all their certificates and paperwork, information on preventative health care, diet, pet insurance and potential toxins/poisons around the home.
After adoption, we continue to provide ongoing advice and support in order to help you care for your new family member. To find out more about any of our orphans, please contact Little Paws Orphan Rescue
