About Frankie
FRANKIE WILL ONLY BE REHOMED IN THE ACT/QUEANBEYAN AREA.
Thank you for considering a CPR rescue dog. Most dogs receive several enquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can have a happy life together. If your enquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and 15 years experience with the understanding of the dog’s needs as our top priority.
Please email in the first instance telling me about your home/lifestyle/activity levels/other dog in the family, children/ages anything that gives me an idea of you and your fmaily and the life that I can expect for Frankie for the next 15 years.
When emailing from a mobile phone please include the number.
Frankie is a mix of a few breeds, he has the colouring of a cattle dog and the wire coat of a Jack Russell and what ever else he has in him is a mystery.
Frankie was spotted by a member of the public being dumped by his so called (original) owner at Bethanga Dam in Cootamundra which is 20 ks out of town, he was with another little dog Sammy who has found a wonderful home, so now it is Frankie’s turn.
Frankie is just gorgeous, a soft boy who has a great personality and character, he is also a very playful boy so will need another dog up to 10 – 15 kilos and around his own age so they can grow up together and be best play mates, he loves the company of humans and is always ready for a cuddle on the lounge, he would thrive in a home with a couple of older kids as they can spend heaps of time with him and teach him tricks as he is a very smart boy, Frankie is so good in the house and sleeps through the night without a peep.
Frankie needs an owner who has some knowledge of how, or is, a strong leader which was lacking in his previous home where he needed the training and didn’t get it hence was returned to his foster home ( he has that Terrier in him). He has been going to dog behaviour/socialising training and is now doing really well, he needs an owner who is prepared to put in the effort with this boy, despite what he has been through from being dumped out in the bush, coming to foster care then into a new home and then back into care he is doing remarkably well adjusting to every situation because he now has some form of stability in his life.
Frankie loves a cuddle and loves and wants to please his owner, he would be great with an active family who have older kids, a family who go jogging would be a bonus for him as most terrier types like to have their mind and body stimulated, a well exercised dog is a happy dog.
If you have another dog, have a couple of older kids and treat your dogs like a family member and include them in family activities where dogs are allowed then maybe Frankie is the boy for your family.
Adoption details
To enquire about a dog in foster care please email the foster carer in the first instance (using the contact details listed with the dog's description).
The foster carer needs to know about you, your family, and any other pets, about your lifestyle and accommodation, and about the type of dog you want, so that they can help work out if the dog you have selected is right for you.
For dogs, foster carers will also carry out a 'home check' where we look at fencing and shelter for the dog to make sure they are adequate, and advise on anything that needs to be done to make sure your dog will be safe and comfortable.
