About Whitney ~ (on trial 26/1/1/5)Kelpie x Cattle Dog
Introducing Whitney, 8 week old, female, Kelpie x Cattle Dog puppy. Whitney is an sweet and cuddly girl who loves to play with her sister and brother (also available) and our other dogs. If you are an active family and if you want an active, highly intelligent and faithful dog then Whitney may be the puppy for you. But, please consider if you can meet her needs for exercise, training, and affection for the next 10 to 15 years. If you can put the time in, she will be an outstanding dog in every way!
Will you enjoy taking her for a walk and playing fetch in the backyard and letting her sit with you in the evening? She won't be happy all alone in a backyard, and would get bored and could develop behaviour problems. Whitney must be welcome in the house to be part of the family, and to sleep inside, at least until she's fully grown. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life.
Whitney will grow up to be a medium sized dog. You will need solid fencing with solid material underneath such sleepers or concrete and no small gaps. She cannot go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire). Gates need to have locks on them to discourage dog thieves (sad but true). If she is to spend much time outside she'll need a kennel.
Whitney is too young to spend all day home alone so she needs either someone who doesn't work full time, or a friendly adult dog to keep her company.
Whitney will need to be taken to one of our approved vets for her 2nd vaccination and to be desexed when she's old enough. Therefore, she is only available for adoption to the following areas: Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens, NSW.
If you feel that you can give Whitney the perfect active home, than please contact her foster carer Krystina via email krystina_ws@hotmail.com and she can give you more information about her. Whitney is in care at Tingira Heights NSW 2292 in the Lake Macquarie area.
Whitney's adoption fee is only $450 and includes her desexing, first two vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. Her birthday is 22/11/14.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
