About Marley
I'm the perfect blend of handsome, fun, and affection, and could suit a range of households. I am happy with my own company and don't mind if you work all day, as long as you have plenty of time to spend on the couch with me when you get home.
In fact, couch time is one of my favourite things. I am a good cuddler - my head fits wonderfully on any lap, and my bum perfectly on any feet.
I know lots of things - like sit, drop, shake, hi-five. I'm pretty clever at coming when called and doing what I'm told.
I like toys and playing games, but can get myself a little bit over excited and forget my size. Because of this I might be better suited to older children.
I am good with other dogs, and love playing rough games with them too!
Sadly, cats don't tend to appreciate my games.
Medical notes
Marley has been a picture of health while in foster care. Watch his video to see him running in the park! However, he was surrendered to us with two degenerative issues with his elbow. Basically, he has arthritis in his elbow.
Marely's vet has advised that Marley not partake in long or hard exercise to reduce inflammation at his elbow. His vet has advised walks only going up to 15 minutes, three times a week.
While we haven't seen it, Marley will start limping if you 'go too hard' during exercise. Marley has had Cartrophen injections in the past to manage the arthritis in this joint, and it's likely that Cartrophen and other medications will need to be used to increase comfort in this joint over time.
At this stage, Marley is more than happy and comfortable. However, in the interests of full disclosure, we specify that his elbow has been an issue in the past and will likely be in the future.
