PERMANENT HOME OR GOOD FOSTER CARER WANTED
I LOVE THIS CAT!!!
ABOUT ME: Piiper was taken out of the pound and in no time he has won hearts of a few who have met him.
Not long after he was rescued from one of Sydney's high kill pounds we took him along to a NSW CFA cat show and entered him in the companion section. He won BEST COMPANION CAT at that show. He was friendly and polite and loved getting the attention of people.
He is confident, but not a pushy over confident boy. He enjoys company and is quite interactive but again without being over the top. He will make a lovely best friend and companion for someone seeking one very special cat!
Only the best of homes for this boy - so you would need to be able to offer him a life long home filled with love and everything else he desires.
He would suit most homes from singles, couples to those with older primary school children or older. \ He should be fine with dogs if they are cat friendly and the introductions go well.
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW. I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. This means either keeping me inside or providing a cat run for me. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens on all doors and windows etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me from death row and have given me a lot of love care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: We placed this ad to promote adoptions of pound cats and to try to re-home them. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent of a pound cat. If you would like more information about me, have read all the information about me and can offer me a home like I need please email us via the link.
STEP 1: Send us an email with some details about the home you can offer. We like to match people to animals so the result is a happy home for life for owner and animal. Accordingly, as we already know the cat, we want to understand what you believe you can bring to the relationship. Please include a contact telephone number in your email, including, if necessary, the time it may be most convenient for us to contact you.
STEP 2: We will give you a call to discuss the animal. The person calling you will be a Pound Cat Adoptions coordinator, or the cat's foster carer.
STEP 3: If all sounds great and we both think it would be a good match for you, then we usually come and visit you in your home for a meet and greet. We put a lot of time into our cats and like to be certain they will live in a safe environment, so we do like to see their potential new home and to meet your other family members.
STEP 4: If we all agree that it is a good match then an adoption can take place.
STEP 5: We do offer a trial period of 2 weeks, which can be extended if necessary. \ If it becomes clear the relationship will not work, we are very happy to take the cat back and will return the majority of the adoption fee, unless you want to try again with a different cat. We want to ensure that the cat is happy and so are you, and understand that sometimes things do not work out. In those circumstances, we want the cat back - we do not want it to end up in another pound environment! We help where we can by providing advice on care of the animal as best we can but will refer you to vets for any health issues.
All our animals will be desexed, vaccinated (at least 1st F3), microchipped and their worming and flea treatments will be up to date. Some are also life time registered for NSW.
