MEET CHIPPY – OUR LITTLE CHOCOLATE CHIP! 🐾
How could you not fall in love with that face?
Meet Chippy, our gorgeous young Koolie X with the most beautiful chocolate flecks scattered throughout his coat. Just like a chocolate chip, he's a little bit sweet and completely irresistible!
At approximately 12 months old, Chippy has already experienced something no dog should have to face — being abandoned. We know absolutely nothing about his past, where he came from or what his life was like before he found his way to Hoof & Hound.
But what we do know is what a wonderful boy he is! ❤️ Despite having no history, Chippy has surprised us with his lovely manners, his attentive nature and just how incredibly affectionate he is. This boy is an absolute smoocher who seems to have so much love to give!
Chippy is currently being fostered by a wonderful couple who are going to give him the time, guidance and experiences he deserves. They'll be helping him learn new skills, build confidence and discover what life in a loving home is all about.
And the best part? He's already showing us what a special young dog he is.
As a Koolie Cross, Chippy may have the intelligence, energy and eagerness to learn that these wonderful working breeds are known for. We'd love to see him in a home that enjoys companionship, enrichment, exercise and continuing his training. Chippy is in great health, with his desexing and vaccinations scheduled for this week. We're still getting to know this gorgeous boy, and as his foster carers learn more about his personality, habits and needs, we'll be sharing plenty of updates!

Hoof & Hound Adoption Process:
Initial Enquiry – Prospective adopters submit an application via our website or email, providing information about their household, lifestyle, and experience with pets.
Screening & Interview – We review applications and conduct a phone or in-person interview to ensure a suitable match for the animal’s needs.
Home Check – For dogs and larger animals, a home visit is conducted to ensure the environment is safe, secure, and suitable.
Meet & Greet – The adopter meets the animal at our shelter/foster home to assess compatibility.
Adoption Agreement – Successful adopters sign an adoption contract outlining care requirements and follow-up support.
Follow-Up & Support – We provide ongoing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition and successful long-term placement.
