About Hoof & Hound
Northern Rivers Hoof and Hound Inc is a not-for-profit incorporated charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned, neglected and surrendered dogs across the Northern Rivers and throughout New South Wales.
Our mission is simple: to give every dog a second chance at life.
We provide safe and secure shelter, veterinary care, desexing, behavioural support, rehabilitation and daily enrichment to ensure each dog has the best opportunity to heal and transition into a loving forever home.
Our organisation is run by passionate volunteers who devote their time, energy and resources to improving the lives of animals in need. In addition to operating our shelter and foster care network, we work closely with the community to promote responsible pet ownership, desexing, and compassionate animal welfare practices.
We also assist with owner surrenders and private rehoming where appropriate, helping to ensure that dogs are matched with suitable adopters through a careful screening process.
At Northern Rivers Hoof and Hound, every dog is treated as an individual and given the love, care and respect they deserve. Through rescue, rehabilitation and education, we are building a compassionate network of supporters committed to creating brighter futures for animals in need.
