Meet Bonnie, our gorgeous young Bullmastiff × girl, who is about to begin a whole new chapter with Northern Rivers Hoof & Hound! At approximately 18 months old, Bonnie has already experienced a life that no dog deserves.
Behind those beautiful eyes is a girl who deserves a whole new beginning!
This beautiful girl reportedly spent much of her young life chained up. 💔 But despite everything, Bonnie is already showing us just how special she is. And the updates we're receiving are absolutely wonderful!
Bonnie has been spending time with other dogs and has been doing brilliantly. She's also been introduced to walking on a lead and has handled it beautifully. Even more encouraging, Bonnie recently met two vets, was handled and vaccinated, and took the whole experience in her stride!

We are so proud of how well Bonnie is responding to new experiences, especially considering the difficult start she's had. With patience, kindness and guidance, we're excited to see her confidence continue to grow.
Bonnie is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped, and we're continuing to learn more about her personality and what sort of home will suit her best. The photograph you see is Bonnie in the pound. It's certainly not the beautiful photo shoot we'd love to give her, but we wanted you to meet her now rather than wait. New photos and updates are coming soon!

Hoof & Hound Adoption Process:
Initial Enquiry – Prospective adopters submit an application via our website or email, providing information about their household, lifestyle, and experience with pets.
Screening & Interview – We review applications and conduct a phone or in-person interview to ensure a suitable match for the animal’s needs.
Home Check – For dogs and larger animals, a home visit is conducted to ensure the environment is safe, secure, and suitable.
Meet & Greet – The adopter meets the animal at our shelter/foster home to assess compatibility.
Adoption Agreement – Successful adopters sign an adoption contract outlining care requirements and follow-up support.
Follow-Up & Support – We provide ongoing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition and successful long-term placement.
