Sassy came into our care from a critical pound, where her future was uncertain. We knew this beautiful girl deserved a chance at a better life, and we simply couldn't turn our backs on her. ❤️
Despite her rough start and extremely sheltered life, Sassy has the most beautiful, loving nature. We wanted to give her the opportunity to experience the kindness, love and happiness every dog deserves.
Her past may have been difficult, but we're determined to make sure her future is filled with hope, healing and love. ❤️ Some dogs come into our lives and absolutely melt our hearts. Sassy is one of those special souls.
At just one year old, this beautiful tan Mastiff has already had a rough start. Having lived an extremely sheltered life, Sassy has missed out on so many experiences most dogs take for granted.
Sassy arrived very underweight, and it's heartbreaking to think about what this sweet girl may have missed out on. But what amazes us most is how much love she still has to give. She is incredibly affectionate, gentle and just wants to be loved.
What Sassy needs now is someone truly special.
Someone with patience, understanding and a whole lot of love. Someone who will gently introduce her to the outside world, help her experience new things at her own pace and show her that life can be full of kindness, safety and happiness.
Sassy doesn't need everything all at once. She just needs someone willing to give her the time she deserves.

Hoof & Hound Adoption Process:
Initial Enquiry – Prospective adopters submit an application via our website or email, providing information about their household, lifestyle, and experience with pets.
Screening & Interview – We review applications and conduct a phone or in-person interview to ensure a suitable match for the animal’s needs.
Home Check – For dogs and larger animals, a home visit is conducted to ensure the environment is safe, secure, and suitable.
Meet & Greet – The adopter meets the animal at our shelter/foster home to assess compatibility.
Adoption Agreement – Successful adopters sign an adoption contract outlining care requirements and follow-up support.
Follow-Up & Support – We provide ongoing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition and successful long-term placement.
