About Solitaire
*In foster care in Bondi*
Meet Solitaire, a handsome young gentleman with big golden eyes, a pink nose and a wonderfully balanced personality.
Solitaire is an independent, easygoing boy who likes to take a little time to get comfortable in a new space. Once he's settled in, his curious and playful personality starts to shine. He's happy doing his own thing for much of the day, but he certainly appreciates some affection when he's in the mood.
And when Solitaire decides it's time for pats, he really commits to the experience. Expect him to roll around for some big belly rubs before eventually melting into the most adorable little loaf.
He's also a fan of good food, although he's not one to make a big fuss about it.
During the day, Solitaire enjoys the simple pleasures in life: a cosy spot in the sun, a little independent exploring and perhaps a nap on the bed. But just when you think you've got him all figured out, evening arrives.
That's when this otherwise relaxed gentleman likes to party. He'll launch into hilarious zoomies, racing around the apartment for an hour and covering every inch of his domain. It's a very entertaining contrast to his chilled-out daytime personality, and one of his most endearing qualities.
Solitaire is also a lovely companion to other cats. He enjoys a good play session with his feline friends, but he's equally happy sharing a long cuddle and finding a sunny spot to keep warm.
He's a wonderful balance of independent and affectionate, playful and relaxed. He doesn't need constant attention, but he enjoys companionship and will happily come looking for you when he's ready for some love.
Solitaire could be adopted on his own or with a compatible feline friend. He's an adaptable little character who would suit a home that appreciates both his independent nature and his playful side.
If you're after a cat with an easygoing personality, a funny little streak and just the right amount of evening chaos, Solitaire could be your guy.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'd love a home where I can take my time settling in, explore my surroundings and enjoy a nice balance of company and independence.
I'm pretty adaptable and could suit either an experienced cat owner or someone newer to having a feline friend. What matters most is having a comfortable environment where I can feel safe and build a bond at my own pace.
I'd be happy with regular human company, and I get along really well with other cats, so a friendly feline companion could be a lovely bonus.
I'm not demanding of attention around the clock, but I do enjoy affection when I'm in the mood. A home with cosy sleeping spots, sunny windows and room for the occasional evening zoomie would be right up my alley. Extra points for a window cill that I can stare out at the world from.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Moderate energy.
I'm generally relaxed throughout the day, enjoying naps, sunny spots and a bit of independent exploring. Come evening, though, I sometimes get a burst of energy and love racing around the apartment.
I enjoy playing with other cats, but I'm equally happy relaxing and having a cuddle. I've got a lovely balance of playful and chilled-out.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven't been tested around children, so my suitability is not yet known. However, I'm easygoing and gentle so would likely be fine with children who have patience to also give me the space to settle in.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I get along well with other cats. I enjoy playing with them and sharing cosy spots for a cuddle. My forever home should have a feline friend to keep me company. I have spent the past few weeks with my buddy, Howard https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1218862 . He and I get along really well together and could adopted as a pair!
I haven't been tested around dogs, so my suitability is not yet known.
Medical notes
Solitaire has had a recent dental scale and clean.
Like all cats, attention to his dental hygiene will form part of his ongoing care.

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
