About Little Toasty
Little Toasty is a female domestic medium hair cat available for adoption in Ellalong (Hunter Valley, New South Wales).
Little Toasty is a cheeky girl with a mind entirely her own, and the softest fur you'll ever pat.
She's independent enough to enjoy her own company and affectionate enough to seek out yours. Her friendship is something you earn, and it's loyal once you have it.
A little about Little Toasty:
🐾 Lights up at belly pats, and tries to lick you in thanks
🐾 Adores a good run, with or without a toy in sight
🐾 Loves burrowing under blankets
🐾 Gets on well with her seven feline housemates
Little Toasty's days run to a gentle rhythm. Food, play, sleep, repeat.
She's a slow eater who enjoys an unhurried meal, and she's not fussy about what's on the menu.
When she wants pats, she rubs herself around your legs and meows until you oblige.
Her affection is specific. A rub around your legs as you pass, a meow that means pats now, a belly offered on her terms.
With new people, she finds a hiding spot and stays there until the room is quiet again. Give her the space to set her own pace and you'll find she comes out to you.
Little Toasty suits a calm, quiet indoor home with a guardian who finds earning a cat's trust rewarding.
Feline company is welcome, since she's used to a big crowd. A home without resident dogs keeps her quiet rooms quiet.
Her housemate Elio has a listing of his own, and the two are looking for separate homes. Meet Elio here
Picture a calm afternoon: Little Toasty burrows under a blanket beside you, soft fur against your hand, then bursts out for a lap of the house before diving back in for more pats.
Little Toasty is ready. The blanket burrow, the belly pats, the loyal company in the evenings.
FAQ
Can Little Toasty live with other cats? Yes. She shares her home with seven and gets on well with them.
Does she suit a home with dogs? She's happiest in a home without resident dogs, with feline friends or a peaceful household to herself.
Is there anything to keep out of her reach? String, rope, wool and blind cords are tempting for her, and fishing line should never be left where she can get to it.
Medical notes
Little Toasty is in good general health and isn't on any regular medication.
She has some joint changes in her hips and knees, and her right knee has been surgically repaired. She recovered well, with no signs of pain since, and her vet can help support her joints as she gets older.
Little Toasty finds vet visits stressful, so a short-term anti-anxiety medication (gabapentin) in her wet food before leaving home has worked well. She also has sensitivities to certain medications, and her complete patient history, which details these, is on file and ready to be forwarded to her new guardian's veterinary team.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
